I've been working in the creative industry for around twelve years now and have developed a wide range of skills, I started out in graphic design at Visual Image Presentation before moving on to Rima in London before moving North to arrive at my current employers, Web Marketplace Solutions (WMPS) in Yorkshire.
In my time at Rima I worked initially in a graphic design environment before helping establish the interactive arm of the company with two colleagues. My time there saw me creating websites and interactive content for the likes of Shell, The Post Office, Deutsche Bank, Think! Road Safety and DEFRA.
Following Rima I found myself heading North to work for WMPS starting out as a web designer, I developed into the Senior Designer before commencing my current position as Design Manager. WMPS specialise in online shopping and I have gained invaluable experience in the field designing sites and content for among others Turquoise Holidays, Next, Discover Leisure, Express Gifts, Encore, Bateaux London and Chem Dry.
I have spent the past eighteen months as the lead designer on a project to create a content management system (now marketed as Red Fish) flexible enough to deliver online retail experiences on a number of platforms. Red Fish is currently being used to provide the content for the Next Directory and Go Chic with other clients set to go live shortly.
I have become proficient in all of the major software packages and platforms used across the industry.
